Collect from the gallery — free

You’re welcome to collect any painting from the gallery at 6520 Bowness Road NW, Calgary, at no charge. Choose local pickup at checkout and we’ll email you when it’s ready. If you’d like to see the work on your own wall first, ask — we’re a small gallery and we’re flexible about that.

Shipping within Canada

Shipping is calculated at checkout and depends on the size of the painting. Large canvases cost considerably more to ship than the weight suggests: carriers bill oversized parcels on their dimensions rather than what they weigh, and anything over four feet on its longest side attracts additional handling charges. The rate you see at checkout is what it costs us, and it covers professional packing and insurance. If the actual cost comes in under what you were charged, we refund the difference.

Packing

Every painting is packed by The UPS Store — acid-free glassine, bubble wrap, corner protectors, and a custom box or crate built to the canvas. This isn’t only about the painting arriving safely; a professionally packed shipment is what keeps an insurance claim valid if something does go wrong.

Insurance

Every shipment is insured for its full value, and the cost is included in the rate you’re quoted at checkout. If a painting arrives damaged, photograph the packaging before you unpack any further, then email info@grasbyartstudio.com within 48 hours of delivery and we’ll handle the claim.

Processing and delivery

Paintings are prepared and packed within three to five business days. Within Canada, delivery is usually three to nine business days after dispatch. Larger canvases take longer at both ends — crating is done to order.

Tracking

You’ll get a tracking number by email as soon as your painting is on its way.

United States

Shipping to the United States is calculated at checkout in the same way, with packing and insurance included. Any duties, taxes or brokerage charges on arrival are the buyer’s responsibility.

Other countries

We ship worldwide, but rates for original artwork to other countries are quoted individually. Email info@grasbyartstudio.com or call (403) 453-1722 with the painting you’d like and where it’s going, and we’ll come back with a firm figure.
